A pop of colour. Jiffy Pop popcorn. The 1960s & ’70s. Mellow yellow. Mushroom forms. Go-Go dancers. Sci-fi. The Jetsons. Sunburst. Yellow Submarine. Mod. Disco. These were all swirling around in my mind while naming this piece.
In the end, if you’re old enough to remember, the metal lampshade kept bringing me back to Jiffy Pop popcorn as it expanded on the stove. So I shortened it to simply Pop.
