Designed to capture movement, Still explores the quiet beauty found when motion comes to rest. Suspended within an illuminated custom form, a vintage Bolex Zoom Reflex P3 motion picture camera is transformed from a functional filmmaking tool into a sculptural object, where light, shadow, and monochrome aesthetics become the primary focus.
Manufactured in Yverdon, Switzerland between 1963-1965, the Bolex originally captured life’s moving moments on Regular 8mm film. It retains its original lens and mechanical drive, preserving the precision and elegance that made these cameras so admired. Framed by soft LED illumination, the camera enters a new chapter—no longer capturing movement, but inviting quiet contemplation of form, history, and the enduring beauty of thoughtful design.
