(0813) HECLA FIRE MUSIC – $650 NZD

This “Hecla Fire” electric heater (circa 1930-40) was made by Hecla Electronics of Melbourne. Named after the 1918 Mount Hekla eruption in Iceland, it made the product synonymous with tremendous heat and power. I loved the original design, but its days of “tremendous heat and power” were over. My vision was to transform it into a wireless Bluetooth speaker. Externally I decided to keep the beautiful, aged look by applying a clear finish to preserve it. Internally adding a Bluetooth audio amplifier with bass, treble & volume control, and speakers. Now it’s ready for you to wirelessly connect your favourite device (phone, tablet, etc.) and play some “tremendous music”!

DIMENSIONS: 34cm (H); 39cm (W); 11cm (D); Weight: 7kg.

TECHNICAL SPECS: Power supply: 19V 4.74A.   Audio: Fosi 50W+50W Audio BT10A Bluetooth 5.0 amplifier. Two 4-inch coaxial speakers with dome tweeters.
