(0809) FAN OF LIGHT – $950 NZD (SOLD)

George Westinghouse, Jr. (1846-1914) was an American entrepreneur and engineer who invented the railway air brake and was a pioneer of the electrical industry, gaining his first patent at the age of 19. This Westinghouse ‘Lively Aire’ 14 inch oscillating fan was manufactured in the early 1950’s in the USA. No longer working when I found it, the original design was beautiful and it deserved a second chance. Adding a unique 4-socket chrome lighting fixture, new paint, and low voltage (12v DC) electrics make this a safe, energy efficient, and attractive nod to the 50’s.
